First Day Filming

Our first day of filming was the  26th of February, we had run into several scheduling issues to achieve this day however 2 people were not able to film that day due to personal issues. But we just had to bite the bullet and film with the people that were there that day. Originally I was meant to solely be the videographer for the film but due to our lack of personal at the time I had stepped for the scenes when necessary.

When everyone who was able to show up had arrived, we had taken some time to describe the film we had envisioned in our head, as well as described the tone and the speech patterns of the characters, which were meant to emulate the speech patterns of teenagers in this era.

After all of this, we then began to film, for our first shot, all of the other actors besides myself had entered the car meanwhile I had done a pseudo arc shot around the car. This shot went well as we had no issues meanwhile we recorded this scene, in our next scene we had a couple issues during our recording as this scene felt unnatural at times in which we had looked at the camera during the recording, we also had several issues on deciding a topic discuss during the car ride scene. After this, we then had our solo driver scene which he had recorded a handful of times to make sure that the tone was correct and the pan done during recording was done correctly. We then had our next tracking scene where we followed the driver as they search their vehicle, this shot was fairly simple to shoot and only take one or two retakes. For the final tracking shot, we no little no difficulties with only 1 retake with the actor doing a great job throughout the filming process.

However, we are a bit hesitant after reviewing the footage in its entirety, as we feel the driving scene had missing characters or potential dialogue to make the film more complete or interesting.
