Editing

 

    We have begun the editing process and deciding which person would do what process, for this portion of the project Arturo and myself have chosen to take a back seat and let Abdullah take control here for the editing of the film opening, Our reason for deciding this was Abdullah had both more experience and control over editing in general as he has done editing before, and in our previous project the sound story he was the main editor in that project. And personally, I feel that Abdullah has great skill when it came to editing as he was able to create something interesting and cohesive with his samples.         

    What I chose to do was to primarily work on the videography of the film and map out the shots of the film.  Arturo also assisted me with camera layouts, put primarily decided much of the mood and tone of the film with the outfits being chosen by him as well as Arturo and Abdullah working on the sound of the film myself having some small suggestions. 

    However, both Arturo and myself had decided to assist Abdullah with the editing in whatever possible fashion, so we would just offer any possible edits and corrections that he could do to make the film flow better and create a better atmosphere in the film, and correct any possible errors that may have been overlooked in the initial process. 

Personally, this method of editing in my opinion allows us to create a great film opening and allows us to be as creative as possible with the different ideas we may have as Abdullah uses his great editing techniques and all 3 of us are able to brainstorm different ideas and techniques that could make the film better .
