Camera angles in movements in a Movie

The movie I had chosen to watch was Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, I had chosen the movie as it has been that has been recommended to me various times and has been on a personal watchlist of mine.

The movie is on Netflix if you share any interest in the movie.

  • Different shots

    • The beginning section of the movie begins with a close up towards one of the characters’

    • phones as he types out a haiku and then it transitions to a still shot with him reciting said

    • haiku as he prepares to leave

      • This could have been used to make the character appear to be intelligent

      • 0:25-0:49

    • The next shot is a still shot on another of the characters as she smiles into the mirror as

    • she feels self-conscious of her teeth, so she then grabs and puts on a face mask to cover

    • her mouth

      • This could have been used to present how the character may feel towards her

      • appearance

      • 0:59-1:41

    • The next shot is a drone shot that flies over a town to show the grand and colorful

    • town that story is being placed in

      • This could have been used to engage the audience or simply as a

      • form of an opening to the story

      • 1:47-2:31

    •  This shot was another still shot as it was simply observing the three in the

    • room as they try and locate one of their lost phone’s

      • This may have been used to show how the character may have felt nervous or

      • anxious at the time

      • 17:50-18:01
